What do people make of the Spice Girls reunion? Are you loving it or hating it?

I could go either way.

I used to love the spice girls. what ever they had out, i wanted it! The videos, The movie, The watches, T-shirts, albums etc etc etc. I also remember a local cake shop had a spice girls cake i wanted for my birthday, it was amazing!
However, i think they are totally past it.
Reading in magazines, Mel C is scared she will be the fattest in the group? SERIOUSLY? there's nothing on her.
I just think it's all for the money, and the heart won't be in it anymore.
Think they should be remembered as the fun loving girls, who got along!!!
And plus, i can't stand posh!

Is it ok to say I hated them and the thought of a reunion fills me with hazardous levels of dread? They all seemed like the kind of girls I always would avoid in person too, whereas B*witched I'd have wanted to invite to my birthday parties... if I'd ever had any.

its ok to say you hated them as long as you dont insult anyone who does like them or anything like that. i was never really into them either.

Everyone's entitled to an opinion. It's when you start insulting the fans when it becomes a problem. People just have to realize not everyone likes the same thing. I liked them to a point. They were...kitschy and fun. But I'm not really excited nor disgusted at the thought of a reunion. This seems like it's strictly for monetary gain. I'm not expecting much with this.
Oddly enough, the Spice Girls, individually, never really had any vocal talent (in my opinion). I mean, I've heard better. But when you put them together, it was passable. I mean, it didn't hurt my ears to hear it. Maybe that's why their solo careers never worked out much. They literally need each other. That's just an opinion.

I loved them when I was younger...I wanted to be just like them,in some way i guess...but I'm not sure how to feel about this reunion...when they were together I liked the sound...and when they broke up and it was just the four of them(not because of Geri leaving but in general)the sound was kind of gone...and it bothered me...I'm just curious to see how it'll turn out.

I liked the spice girls but i do hope they come back in a dignified fashion. They're not 20 anymore i don't think Mel C should even contemplate doing back flips, and as for geri having her knickers out, it weren't pretty the first time round.

I was like 8 years old when the Spice Girls were at the end of their career so, I really have no idea what to think. The only song I really like from them is "Wannabee."

To the best of my knowledge I've only ever heard one song of theirs, and I really really hated it! I remember being offended on B*witched's behalf when they were referred to as "The Irish Spice Girls".
I'm unhappy about the reunion, but only because i like Emma Bunton's solo stuff - she's never enjoyed the success she deserves; posibly because people don't take her seriously because she was in The Spice Girls. I would prefer her to stay solo and hope her career improves.

The only thing B*witched had in common with the Spice Girls was that they were female. Similarities end there.

However, i think they are totally past it. And plus, i can't stand posh! Past it? They're in their 30s! This year I've seen The Who (Pete and Rog are in their 60s - twice the age of the Spice Girls), Wishbone Ash (70s rock group, so I would estimate they're in their 50s), Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze singer/songwriter - 50 next month) and Ray Davies (former Kinks singer/songwriter - in his 60s). They all gave superb performances. I won't be buying a ticket to see the Spice Girls, but I think they're too young to be called past it! I agree with you about Victoria Beckham though. I was disgusted at the way she behaved towards Peterborough Utd Football Club. I think I'm right in saying they've been called "The Posh" since 1926. Looking at recent photographs of Victoria, I suppose it's possible she's been called Posh longer, but I doubt it. When she wanted them to give up the name, did she do what a decent person would have done? With her money it woulod have been easy for her to buy every item in the club shop that had the word posh on it, pay for them to have new seats put in the stand (for those who don't know, the seats are in different colours spelling out "The Posh") and pay them compensation for the loss of the nickname they had had for over 70 years. Instead she threatened to take them to court if they didn't give up their nickname. A despicable way to behave. I'm just glad she backed down.

Now they've given her to us.
It's kind of funny. Over there, "Posh and Becks" are, like, these huge, well-known celebrities. They come over here, and we're like "Yeah. So...?"
