I've been a fan for...ever...to put it simply...they're up there with B*Witched for me....

Yes.
My daughter became a fan of The Who because they're my favourite group, so it's only fair that I like her music as well! We went to see Green Day a few years ago - it was a great show. I'd love to see them again.
Any more Green Day fans or are we The Minority?

'Basketcase', 'Longview'. That's the Green Day I loved. This new stuff, it's like they're trying to be the American U2.

Found out on Tuesday that Green Day are in the Simpsons film - that makes it a definite. I think I'll be taking my son next Wednesday.
Erin makes a valid point about the politics - I've said for a long time that I hate musicians telling me what to think: I just want them to entertain me. I try to focus on the music and ignore what the lyrics are saying.

Green Day's appearance in the Simpsons film was surprisingly short - most guests are on for longer during a standard television episode.
They did play the Simpsons theme tune at the end, though - that was very good.

I was a fan. Dookie and Insomniac are their best album. Now they're a little bit boring...
