What's everyone views on this then. I have mixed feelings at the moment, on one hand I'm glad they called it a day because I'm sorry to say that it just wasn't working and people weren't getting behind them. On the other hand I'm gonna miss the gigs and the music.
This site will continue and hopefully the girls will be in the public eye again with future projects, I just need to change the name back from Barbarellas!
The magazine Edele is in will be posted on here when it's published.

Keep the name for now.
My view is that it is sad people did not get behind them. Especially since the music they did finally release was the type every man, woman and child are listening to.
Also kinda glad they have shelved "Barbarellas", Edele can now focus on her little growing family.
Maybe Keavy's musical will finally see the light of day, and this can be the good that comes from it, musically...

I'm all emotions. I have mixed feelings. I don't want them to vanish from us completely, but I also don't want them to force themselves into doing something that isn't working. Keep the name for a bit, as a homage. Or change it. It's up to you entirely. I agree with Meli. I honestly can not fathom for the life of me any conceivable reason why they didn't get that support. They were good. They were d*mn good.
As someone who was not an immediate fan when I first heard them in B*witched, I have obviously come to love them dearly. They mean a lot to me. They're awesome. And, when they're ready to announce new projects to the world, you know I'll be there.
To be honest, I'm worried that they will never come back to talk to us and the page will die out as people start to lose interest. I fell into a bit of a depression, there, when we didn't hear anything from them for a while. It wasn't the sole reason for my state, but it was one of several triggers. I don't want to put pressure on them, so I would never tell them this. It wasn't their fault.
But, yeah, I pretty much stated how I felt about it on their page. I don't know if there's anymore that I can say.

Hmmm, sadly I'm not surprised, I had an inkling when Edele announced she was pregnant that the end of Barbarellas was around the corner. Not blaming the baby situation, just that it wasn't going to be practical to keep promoting, I dont think having one member in London and one in Ireland was also going to be workable longterm.
Personally I'm glad they made Night Mode and that they shared it with us. Like Erin says I fear they will fade away and we wont really hear from them again which will be a shame, I think most people on FB are fans of K&E not Barbarellas so whatever they are doing I think we'd all still like to hear from them, Keavy's crazy dreams and Edele's X factor commentaries !!

It's sad,but hopefully this is just the end of a chapter and not the whole book,you know? We've held out for them before,we'll do it again,and if they come back with something else we'll be right back here as we've always been.
That's how I'm treating this. It's sad,but it's not the end. At the very least we know Keavy can still kick off something.

A little sad because I had hopes they would make it.
But maybe it's for the best, you know? Edele's got three kids under five who still need her attention. Hopefully, down the line, something could crop up.

i'm sad because i thought they were really good and i love the album but i guess if it's not working they can't continue i don't know why they didn't support. i don't think it will be the last we here from them. by the way the magazine edele is in is out now i got it today. i posted on facebook that on got it but incase anyone didn't see it i decided to put it her too.

I think it was mentioned, but it's okay. Most of us have been B*Board/L*boarders for years before Edele & Keavy decided to do stuff with Barbarellas, so we all go a bit off-topic after a while!  |
