Lame trailer,good movie,if you haven't seen Insidious and have a thing for some decent suspense,check it out.
It's like The Omen meets The Exorcist.
Granted,it's not the best I've seen,I think it could have been a lot scarier if it showed a little less and told a little more throughout. A basic principle in writing,particularly in script is to show and not tell but I think there are limits...
Anyways....
They took the concept of Astral Projection to a level I had never thought of before,they explore into a world that is barely touched on and it worked out. It makes the afterlife and all around it seem a lot scarier without a solid place to go.
The acting was pretty good,I think little kids in horror films are always fantastic because they really aren't round characters,they play up to one thing but make it stick in your mind like a horrible memory. It's creepy.
