Thanks, Oz. If your interpretation is anything close to correct, then the lyrics don't make a lick of sense. Which makes me like it better.

There's a couple of lines I'm not completely sure of but I think its pretty accurate. It seems to me about someone who life has collapsed around them, with a baby and a druggie for a partner. The "clients waiting for their ladies" makes it sound like they're in a brothel but since they've said is about a friend of theirs I hope thats just me seeing it wrong - but if so I agree, what life is this ?
