Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides was pretty epic. It left it open for a sequel though it also answered enough questions where it's not completely necessary to do so. If you plan on seeing it and are a true Pirates fan, wait until the end credits to catch that extra scene they always manage to slip in. Keeps the audiences going and wondering what might happen next. The music was amazing as usual,Hans Zimmer is a brilliant composer. The special effects and animation were much better this time around than in previous films and the plot was on point. There were a few bits in it I felt were kind of bland and only there to push the plot along but regardless it was an awesome film.

I saw it yesterday, didn't stay til end of credits tho d**n it ! I thought it was better than the last two (hated them) but still lacked something that the first one had, storyline still felt a little forced. Jury is still out on this 3D thing, not sure it made it any better than if I'd seen it in 2D.

Yeah I don't bother with 3D why pay more y'know? and I agree there were parts of it where it seemed forced, but I also liked the pace of it over the previous one. I don't think it dragged on and on with insane battle scenes like the third one did.

I was in two minds over going to see this as like Oz said the second and third films weren't great and the trailers for this haven't really made me go wow but I think I'll go and see it now johnny depp is great as jack sparrow.

It's pretty good, honestly,I was glad the trailers weren't so wow only because it seems like these days when they design the trailers like that it gives the whole thing away....

It kills the suspense when you put the "best" parts of a movie in the trailers. Like when we went to see the remake of Clash of the Titans. The site of the Krakken would have made a greater impact if they had saved it for the theater release and not shown it in the trailers.
Although, sometimes they do that because they know the movie as a whole sucks butt. The issue is not how many cool CGI-oriented effects you can employ, but how well you can convey a story. I don't care what's exploding if the movie itself is just bad.

or they dub over the real dialogue with more exciting sounding dialogue to make the film seem more enticing,or they'll show clips in it that are never seen in the film at all.
