Because we clearly need to discuss this,or at least have it on its own thread, here it is.
So let's get into this, what are you opinions on the new look?
They're hot,I give them that, but I'm not personally a fan of the wigs. The girls have great hair,so I hope the wig thing is only for the videos Body Rock and Night Mode.

Their whole styling is part of barbarellas. I like some of the costumes, and some of the wigs. However I think Keavys long blonde hair is quite stunning so she should show it off a bit more. I also think Keavy is a lot more attractive than Edele, even tho they are twins.
Unless the next single is a ballad, then I think they are going to be keeping the sexy high fashion image. I don't thnk it will work during a slow video.

So far the only costumes that I've seen that I have really liked are the current ones they are wearing on the boyzone tour, and I think they are the only costumes that even look remotely sexy. To me being dressed from head to toe in white outfits is not sexy, there needed to be a little more skin shown in the body rock video I feel.

I would hope so, too, Annie. But they perform live in those wigs, as well. The most I hope for is that they decide to ditch them after the first album, in the spirit, perhaps, of continually evolving their look and sound. Michael Jackson didn't always wear the White Glove, for example. He eventually left it in the laundry hamper, so to speak. So, who knows, maybe the wigs won't become a permanent staple. As for now, though, they're there. They're part-a large part-of the overall image. I don't care for the wigs, but I don't imagine they'll be going away anytime soon. I neither like nor dislike the costumes at this point. My original reaction to them was shock and befuddlement, but not necessarily disdain. Still, I like it better when they do interviews in regular clothes. Edele has this sort of...semi-gothic-"vampiress" look with the dark, dark hair and contrasting light skin. It's just gorgeous. And Keavy rocks the blond hair. Her look sort of conflicts her sister's. It's "lighter", for lack of a better way to describe it. (What I want to say, I'm not sure would be accurate.) But they still sort of "match". I wonder if that's intentional or a natural result of some kind of psychological "twin bonding", or...whatever. Some of those costumes seem uncomfortable, though. They just look uncomfortable. And, yeah, I agree, Hayley. I can't say I found the outfits worn in the Body Rock video particularly sexy or sexual. I mean, I wasn't personally aroused by it. Can't speak for others. I try not to get too bent out of shape about it-not implying anyone here is-because it is just an image, a costume. As I've seen them in "street clothes", I assume they don't conduct non-Barbarellas-related business wearing wigs and shiny leotards. (In fact, Edele apparently does things like household chores in her underwear*). A clown eventually washes off the make-up, right? The overall look has grown on me, somewhat. Still not a fan of those matching, asymmetrical wigs. But I'm babbling again... Off topic: (As evidenced by some of her Facebook posts, Edele Barrett likes to share. Sometimes...she likes to share a tad too much . But we still love her. In fact, we love her more because of it.

So new costumes in the night mode video! I found that something else took focus off the wigs, the stick on eye brows.

stick on eyebrows? I must have missed that. after seeing the Night Mode video I didn't have a huge issue with the wigs and costumes, except for the peathingy style ones or whatever that look was supposed to convey. They just seemed misplaced.

I'd say it's just the look and concept for the album, although it wouldn't surprise me if they kept them for longer...
