Next week sees the first anniversary of what should have been the greatest holiday my family had ever had. Unfortunately, an incompetent airline decided we weren't going.
51 weeks later, I've so far only got back just less than half the money I paid for the holiday. I've spent the whole of that time complaining to anyone who'll listen (and plenty who won't). Today the BBC took an interest in what happened. They phoned me at work and did an interview which will be broadcast on several regional BBC radio stations. The reporter I spoke to hopes he will be able to get it on national radio as well.
I will make sure I let you know what the programme is called and when it is going to be broadcast. For those of you outside the UK, I intend making an MP3 copy available which I will be putting all over the internet.
Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord - but it's nice for someone else to get a turn every so often.

Yes, but I'd rather have had the holiday.

Is it really almost five months since I posted this? I really must get on to the BBC and find out when I'm going to be broadcast.
A bit of good news - I received a phone call today to tell me that I've won my year and a half battle against the insurance company to get paid for the cancelled holiday.
If anyone would like to know the name of an insurance company who should be avoided, just pm me.
