Um,...well, first off, did you use sunscreen? If so, what SPF, and how many times did you re-apply? FYI, folks, water intensifies the sun's rays, so don't assume just because you spend most of the time in the ocean or whereever that you don't need sunscreen. You do.
I don't know what you were doing? Sunbathing? Just spending a lot of time outdoors in the hot, hot sun? Aloe Vera is a good idea. You could also try Noxema or a topical ointment like hydrocortisone cream. Take a pain reliever. Try to stay out of the sun for a while. The only thing to truly get rid of a sunburn is time. Wear lose clothing or something. I don't think you want too much friction on your skin.

ouch! ive heard that a milk bath helps but ive not had too much experience with sunburn, the rain doesnt go away long enough for the sun to come out. We get it for a few weeks in the summer then its cold and wet again I swear i didnt laugh when you said you your room mates wont go near you coz of the vinegar

Ouch that's no fun! Yes, I've had many a sunburn in my day... and yes, I never go below SPF 45. But I suppose that's what you get when you live either in a desert or along the coast all your life... and for being ginger

Sydney, you should pretty much bathe in the stuff, shouldn't you?
How's the burn doing, Ashley?

d**n thats some insane burn,I hope it's gotten better,if even a little bit. If it blisters up or anything neosporin is really good at making that a little less irritating.
