My mom always used to do that to me. I would much rather have dressed like a boy. Mind you, I'm straight... but I also happen to really LOVE dressing in men's clothes. I've just always admired the way they look, and my my they are sooo much more comfortable than the crap we are expected to put up with! I'm annoyed that I have to wake up at 6 tomorrow, go off to my university, get a bunch of info I've already heard and read and seen and been talked to about by countless people from the uni, and I have to sleep in a dorm which I will not be living in (i'm going to be at home... why the he11 would I go live in a dorm at extra cost when my house is 10 minutes away in town!?), getting only approximately 6 hours of sleep due to the INSANE schedule they will have us on, and then not being able to leave til late afternoon on Tuesday. I suppose the only good part about it would be that I get to 'meet my fellow students'. but erm... A) I'm painfully shy and probably won't get much "getting-to-know-you" time. and B) I'd say even if I did... at least half of the kids... I won't even see after orientation because it's not like i'm gonna be living on campus and hanging out there all the time. whew.

Just try focusing on why you're going, not trying to build a social life. Study first, friends will come along later. I was under the impression that colleges were there to further expand our intellectual growth.
I'm still mad about the pictures...

Okay, so in hindsight, I probably shouldn't have said I don't care for most Christians, considering some of my friends and family members are Christian. That would be like saying I don't care for them, and that's completely false. I do have an animosity towards the Bible-Believers that I am trying to overcome. They don't always make it easy. Hating and ridiculing others because of their beliefs seems a bit counterproductive. And hypocritical. However, I stand by I a$$ertion that they can be terribly close-minded at times. Except for Marie.
Back to being pissed off. I don't care if it's not Break Time yet. If I'm heatsick, I'm heatsick!! It's a wonder I didn't yarf Subway all over the nicely dry-cleaned clothing.
Now...somebody else post. I've done this double-posting thing twice already. It's also terribly ridiculous that I can't post words like "a$$ertion"... I'm just sayin'.

Erm...Erin, you do know I am Christian too...one of the least judgmental, considering I dated a girl.
But some people, like the Duggars and this chick on my Myspace seem to have this...mentality they're better than everyone else because they follow the Bible thoroughly. You know the Duggars (and girl on Myspace) dont believe in dancing and believe in saving your first kiss for you WEDDING day?!
And Sydney, I had to do the EXACT same thing. I guess its required for all incoming freshmen. I had to live on campus because my house was an hour away. (Different county and area code)Living on campus wasnt half bad because I made my own decisions.

Yes. I know. Like I said above...
Anyway, here's something you might find interesting. Look up information on Attis of Phrygia, Mithra the sungod of Persia, Dionysus/Bacchus, Horus/Osiris, the Indian god Krishna (Seriously.), Zoroaster/Zarathustra. Let me know if you see anything familar. And keep in mind all of these "god-men" preceeded the Christian Jesus.

My friends mom also pointed out some stuff about that as well, though I cant remember
And my old middle school and high school classmate never used to be religious until sometime after graduation in 2005. I know she means well, but she'll mass message like maybe 10 people on Facebook, trying to convince them to be Christian. To me, thats your choice and it shouldn't be imposed by someone else.

www.jesusneverexisted.com/Take a look. Now, given this, many Christians would still hold steadfast to their beliefs in the Judeo-Christian God, they would not give it a second thought. They would refuse to acknowledge that they could very well be wrong. And yet...they would call me "close-minded". And that's an annoyance of mine, so, this is still on-topic.

Steering off topic for a minute, ever since I had the flu or pneumonia last October, sometimes, when I do physical activity, like cleaning, I start to get wheezy. I'm clearly showing signs for adult onset asthma, but then again, I do have allergies (and when I had an allergy attack, I never got wheezy) This morning, I was all wheezy while walking to the bus stop, which made my mom worry.

And keep in mind all of these "god-men" preceeded the Christian Jesus. That is a really good point, Erin. I consider myself "spiritual" but I'm not religious. I believe in God and all that... If I have to tell people, I just say I'm christian. But I totally agree. There's not much point to being a religious, church-going, god-fearing person if you're going to completely miss the number one message that you're supposed to get- you're supposed to respect one another. Ya know... that whole "Love others as you would yourself" dealio, yeah? I think that's the one thing that has kept me from going to church these past few years. A lot of people (A LOT, NOT ALL mind you ) will sit there and talk about how godly they are; and then the minute you say something they disagree with, they hate you.

I think if these so-called Christians really understood the origins of their religion, they wouldn't act so high and mighty. And what sort of all-loving god excludes people...?
"I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. You're Christians are nothing like your Christ." -Ghandi.
He makes a good point. (And those that are "like Christ" are accused of being weak in their faith.)
But before this thread gets any more "religious", I propose a change of subject.
My mother is still trying to sell the old house. The realtor told her she would be a keybox on the door, but we haven't seen one. It's got my mother in knots, and me pissed because it's got my mother in knots.

Pregnant Women. Not all of them,really...just one at the moment. My best friend is pregnant,AGAIN. Her first child is just barely 7 months old. For real, how hard is it to keep your legs closed? Or use some effin protection. "Oh well we tried to use protection" No. It doesn't work that way. You do or you don't. There is no 'try'.
If you leave the condom on the nightstand it doesn't count. If you thought about getting that birth control but didnt,it doesn't count.
Now because she's pregnant again, with another guy btw, she's been kicked out of her other home(with the original baby daddy's parents)and might lose her first child in a custody battle that we all saw coming. She's too proud of herself to take real help and just wants the world handed to her.

They tried to use protection?? They tried? How the hell do you try to do something like that? Like you said, you either do it or you don't. What, did the condom become sapient and slither away? Too much lube, causing slippage? Anyway, sorry to hear about this Annie. Unfortunately, she's made her own bed and now has to lie it. (...>_>...I'll let you say it...) I hope she doesn't lose her kid. Courts generally side with the mother in a lot of cases, though. Okay, the definition of 'close-minded' is "not being open to new ideas or theories". As an atheist, I'd like to think that I am open-minded. If you present me with proper evidence or even a persuasive enough argument, I am willing to listen to what you have to say and to give it careful consideration. It may not change my mind entirely in the long run, but you've gotten my attention and you may change some of my views. I am willing to study other religions. I am not close-minded. However, I know too many people who are. Tell me, how is one that does not share in your particular beliefs "out of their mind", as my boss's mother so eloquently put it? An atheist could say the same for her, considering what the Christian belief actually entails. And she would be offended. That is the very definition of hypocrisy. I don't believe in God. I don't agree with the Christian ideaology or whatever you want to call it. And I'll voice my opinion. But never would I state that any of my God-believing friends/family/co-workers are insane because they think differently. Only if you push your religion, will I push back. I really hate where I work. I really, really do. Particularly, since I can't voice my opinion for fear of being fired.

Courts settle with a mom that has a roof over her head a steady job with decent enough pay and can support her child/children to the best of her ability. Which right now, this girl can't do/doesn't have. If she loses this child it's her own doing. And yeah, she made all these decisions and she'll have to deal with it. But she's not. She's dragging everyone else along and even used my parents for help, which wouldn't have been so bad if she didn't treat them like crap after she didn't get what she wanted from them. Sorry my family's help isn't good enough for you, selfish, ignorant, woman.

We learn from our mistakes (or at least we're supposed to...). She's due for a pretty big lesson. I'd just sit back and watch the show. Pop some 'corn. Kathryn, it's actually a lot harder to be evil because that darn conscience gets in the way... Contrary to what you might want to believe, we all have one. It's part of our survival instinct. I'm good to people because I want them to be good to me. If you choose to act evil, expect to be reciprocated in kind. But otherwise, have fun with that. I'm sure you weren't being totally serious. ---- I'm annoyed with being housebound. Honestly, I haven't gotten out of the house in, like, 4 days. And I don't want to just go for a stroll through the neighborhood, seen it already. I want to go someWHERE. I want to go to the bookstore or something. Get me the hell out of Millington for a while.
