A classically trained musician best known for writing a song that contains the line "Pretty women out walking with gorillas down my street".
My wife, son, and I went to see him last week. His band is now trimmed down th three members (him on piano and vocals, a bass guitarist and a drummer). The show was excellent, but I can't help feeling that the venue was too big for the number of people who were there.
During his career, Joe has covered semi-punk, jazz, AOR, reggae, and classical. And yes, last week he did do that song that contains the line "Pretty women out walking with gorillas down my street".
Merchandise stall only had copies of his latest CD, which I've already got, so no new tee shirt for the gym.
