I was going to post this as part of my reply to Ashley's thread, but it was drawn out and got more and more off topic... So, anyway... I have satellite so I get "BBC America". Are there any other Americans on here who have/watch that channel? Because they're annoyingly inconsistent. I seriously think that we just get all the crap shows, lol. Typical day (Today, for example) features: Episode 6 of Top Gear, followed by Episodes 1 and 2, 2 hours of Changing Rooms and Bargain Hunt (the latter of which I despise), Cash in the Attic ep. 41, then ep. 1, 3 hours of BBC World News, 2 hours of Cash in the Attic again... (they're usually from 2003 or something and I have never ONCE seen the Shane and Keavy one), an hour of You Are What You Eat, then an hour of How Clean is Your House?, Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares from about 2002 or something, and then the whole lineup all over again except for Coupling at 8 PM and the odd Wire in the Blood, Doctor Who, MI-5, or Robin Hood every few weeks I generally like BBC, it's on in my room just about 24/7, but it's frustrating when they mix things up like that. Doctor Who is the worst, you can't possibly follow anything because you get different episodes from different seasons.

the bbc does have some crap shows, and it does look like you got most of them. they really should show eastenders over there its about the best thing that has come out of the bbc.
you would think they would have some kind of order to the schedule. the bbc is owned by the government or something and we have to pay a tv licence coz the bbc wont show adverts.
you'd never get anything like the l word shown on the bbc coz they make most if not all of the shows and they follow guidlines of what the government says is appropriate to watch.

It looks as though America gets the BBC's worst (apart from Dr Who). As an advanced motorist I really should enjoy Top Gear - a programme about cars - but it is fronted by someone who brags about how he drives with contempt for human life.

I'm going to resurrect an old thread here because I seem to have neglected this board in general for a long time. sorry. ^^yes... I do like Skins though... have to say. and Hollyoaks was nice while it lasted but I'm 17 so maybe that doesn't work for everyone I will admit it does seem *a bit* melodramatic at times but I'm usually very reluctant to watch shows of that type so it's an exception. and yes, I REALLY don't like Jeremy Clarkson. To be nice about it.
