I love this show and only got into it this year. My favorite characters are Turk, JD, Janitor and Dr. Cox

I've been a fan since the beginning. I don't think I could pick any favourite characters - every character is brilliantly written and portrayed. OK, I'll pick Elliot and Carla, if only because I'm a heterosexual male!

TY for answering my thread!! Scrubs is a stress reliever for me. At night, while I'm studying, I watch that. So funny. That and the Golden Girls.

We watched an episode last night (recorded from Thursday) and I think I have to change my mind. Dr Cox has always been obnoxious: that's why he's funny. But in recent episodes they have decided to make him a militant atheist. I find militant atheists irritating and boring, and definitely not suitable material for a sit-com, so he is now my least favourite character.

I watched it for a bit, when it was new. Then I got sick of it. I liked Dr. Cox because he's such a prick and says whatever is on his mind whether it's inappropriate or not.
That said, certain characters of that nature, I'm not too fond of. Like House. Someone needs to take his cane and beat him with it.

Last night's episode was brilliant. It's a sign of good writing when a major character can be killed off and the episode is still funny.

Now that Laverne has gone, I wonder if Dr Cox's militant atheism was merely to provide conflict between him and Laverne before her passing. I hope he reverts to type - much funnier.
