I've finally got round to buying Breakaway and have listened to it in the car over the last couple of days. I'm very impressed. And before you ask, I've never seen an episode of American Idol!

The first album is my least favorite. From what I've read, it would probably be my least favourite as well. But isn't Amazon wonderful? It's great being able to listen to short snatches of songs off a CD so you know whether or not you're going to like it. I only knew Kelly Clarkson from a television advert for her CD. I liked what I heard on the advert and went on to Amazon to hear a short snatch of each song. I'll do the same with the other two CDs before I make a decision. |

ive given up buying albums unless i already know i like the band. ive bought so many albums based on hearing a good song on the radio and then all the other songs have been rubish so i now just ask my friends if i can copy their cds.

And that's where Amazon comes in useful. Listening to those 30 second segments is enough to tell me whether or not I want to hear the whole CD. I've just listened to the segments of My December and I like what I heard. It will definitely be going on my 'to buy' list. |

I got the latest one. I wasn't going to get it for a while, but my wife was 19p short of free postage on an Amazon order!
I like it. I'll need to listen a few times before I can decide if I like it as much as Breakaway.

Just how popular is she? Tickets went on sale today for her concert in Manchester next March - I can't get any. They appear to have sold out already. Perhaps she should have picked a bigger venue.
Typical of the way my day's gone, unfortunately.

you could buy tickets off ebay mark, i do it all the time coz i always miss the ticket emails i get and then there sold out when i go to buy them.

I've looked on ebay - I don't like her enough to pay the prices that are being asked there! I thought they were supposed to be clamping down on ticket touts?
I've also been trying fatfingers.co.uk but there's nothing there yet - I'll keep on trying. For those of you who've never heard of it, fatfingers checks for typing mistakes on ebay. For example, if I search for Kelly Clarkson it will search for Kelly Clarksob (b being next to n on the keyboard). You can pick up bargains this way as other people only search for the correct spelling.

It pays to be persistent.
I went online this morning - no tickets available.
I tried again later in the morning - standing tickets available.
I tried again this afternoon and bought two seating tickets. I don't know why tickets suddenly became available and I don't really care - I'm just glad I managed to get some.
When my son and I turn up, do you think people will think he's the Kelly Clarkson fan and I'm keeping him company?
