I normally stay logged in at all times... That's bizarre. The post is under "Hayley", though...

Strange... are you sure it's the computer & not settings in your browser?

Well at least the problem is solved.
[Rant] With an internet connection & it being the 21st Century, wth billions of viruses for computers about.... you'd think people would actually get anti-virus programs & use them. [/Rant]

If they're anything like my mother, they don't go online often, and don't really think about those things unless you tell them they need to. (Otherwise, they might end up with a porn virus or something.)

At the last count I think there were nine viruses for MAC OS 9. I'm using MAC OS X, and there are no viruses.

Sorry Robin, I meant to reply to you as well.
The better Macs are definitely expensive: I think that's why they brought out the Mac Mini: a cheap Mac that you have to buy your own keyboard, monitor, and mouse for.

..My point was, however, is that there are a lot of viruses about on the internet - people could be sending them to you now & you wouldn't know it - and yet, a lot of people, whether they're not too good with computers or are very old, or even all in between, don't use any form of an antivirus program.
They don't slow down your PC (IBM), and there are a far few which are free & easy to download. It's a small price (if you get something like Norton or VET) to pay for a prevention!
Can we move on now, Mister Syder?

. Can we move on now, Mister Syder? Not only can we move on, but you can call me Mark! My light-hearted smugness was not intended to cause offence, and I would really prefer us to be on first-name terms.

I love my mac... ;D So,yeah, topic craziness...yeah getting virus protection is a big deal, but you have to be careful about what you buy and put onto your computer because some virus protectors can actually make the situation worse,I forget the program we used on our old gateway downstairs but it messed up our computer so bad...
