I, personally, get a little annoyed when they do things like that. If the girlfriend wasn't a monkey-girl in the book, why is she a monkey-girl in the movie? Or when I saw 'The Relic' some years back, they had turned a character (Dr. Cuthbert) who was a Scotsman in the book into a little old lady in the movie, among other changes. 'Watchmen' was a good film, but they took a few liberties, as well. He (Rorschach) didn't chop the guy's head in. He tied him to the furnace, lit the place on fire, then stood outside and watched it burn with the guy trapped inside. I'm not reading anything currently. My Sister's Keeper was like that. One sister dies in the book but the other sister does in the movie. The one book I refuse to read is the Lovely Bones. I read that in the 11th grade and it gaves me the creeps on how graphic it was. After the girl got raped and killed, I couldnt finish, so I skimmed through it for my report and got a B on it.

Funny thing about The Lovely Bones is that when they made the movie, part of it was done at the Macdade Mall which is a few blocks away from where I live. Good times.

I would probably enjoy Twilight, too, if I ever read it. I'm just not giving myself the opportunity.
