she does haha. then again, I also knew about that when I was 8... it's life. but all those songs about...uh... adult material... she understands, but it's weird to me that she does. Again, I did when I was that age, but it's weird when you are the older sibling or parent (I would imagine). It seems like kids lose their innocence too early.
"why, when I was a kid we thought..."
:P
I am sounding like my parents and grandparents. This scares me.

What kids don't tell their parents...they knew about all of that stuff long before "The Talk".

exactly. I had a friend who's dad said "Son, I think it's time we had 'the talk'"
and the kid said "Ok. What would you like to know?"

true story lol. I know it sounds like a cheesy joke, but he did say that.

many artists puts their dirty contents in different meanings that 'we' know what their talking about but kids dont and they see it in another way, some kids do cause theyre just exposed to that like lollipop which is sayin she lick his stuff like a lollipop. thats why some things should be limited to what lil kids see and hear. for me, i knew TOO much info when i was a younging

^^ I knew exactly what Brian Adams was singing about when I was about nine in his song... I can't remember but it's on his album "18 'til I Die" I think.

LOL
yeah... I found out stuff because I'm the oldest so I would overhear "the grownups" a lot, and when I was like 9 and 10, I would steal my mom's issues of Cosmopolitan and all those and read the sex articles haha.

Look Who's Talking also helped :D

In all honesty, this stuff isn't that hard to figure out. I think a kid would get the meaning of the Lollipop song if they actually listened to the lyrics.

I think perhaps 'Borderline' by Madonna or 'Time After Time' by Cyndi Lauper would both be good songs for them.

On the subject of annoying novelty songs,...anything by Lady GaGa.
"Let'splayalovegameplayalovegameplayalo-"*shoots gun repeatedly into radio speakers* Die! DIIIIE!!!

I like what Ms Lynch are doing now. I'm not too concerned anymore by what they should cover.

This whole thing, lyrics in songs, and kids hearing them...really...think about the things we used to listen to at that age. Spice Girls,Aqua,Backstreet Boys, all them...all had lyrics that were just...not kid friendly...but they were catchy and we liked to dance to them anyway.
I remember I got the 'talk' when I was 11 by a friend of mine from musical...she was only 13 and claimed to have done it 7 times at that point...only reason I believed her was because she got a little too detailed in her 'talk' that when I learned about it later...she was dead on.

Oh yeah and I think a fun cover song that B*Witched could have done(or even something Ms.Lynch could do)The Neutron Dance...its fun and upbeat and all...fun and stuff.
